Select Password Settings, and allow user to change their Active Directory password and click on OK.
Ok, now we have a XenApp Services Site created and configured. We need to use another computer to make a test!
We need to install the Citrix client (Citrix Receiver). Launch XenApp iso you used before and choose Manually install components
Choose Common Components
Choose Plug-ins and Streaming Profiler
Click on Citrix Receiver (Enterprise)
The Citrix Receiver installation will start.
A sucessfull message will appear at the end of the install.
Citrix Receiver will ask you the url for your previously created Services Site. So click on Enter URL now.
You can verify the correct url on the XenApp Services Site.
Enter the correct path and click on Update.
Few seconds after the Citrix Receiver will ask you for login and password.
After clicking on Open a session, click on Program Files, any published application will appear. In my case i have created a “Tools” folder with Notepad and FileZilla application”.
If you don’t know how to publish application within Citrix, you can follow this article.
Clicking on FileZilla will start the published application.
Now you can see FileZilla
If you want to change some settings of the Receiver Client, then right click on the Receiver icon and click: Preferences.
Click on Plug-in-Status and selected Online Plug-in. Again do a right clik and choose change server.
Here you can change the url of the XenApp Services Site if you made an error before or have a new server.
You can show published appication on user Desktop, in my case in a folder named XenApp
After few seconds, it will appears on the user Desktop.
